Fringe - ornamental border made of threads or strips - is the first collection designed by Michael Anstassiades for Mutina.
The range is produced in a single 12.3 × 12.3 cm format with two variants: Thin (6 mm segments) and Bold (15 mm segments), both modular with a 3 mm joint. Available in White, Anthracite, Grey, Red, and Rose, the tiles feature parallel engraved segments that create a pronounced brick-like pattern adaptable to various orientations, allowing seamless carpet-like layouts with or without borders. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor floor or wall applications in residential and commercial spaces, the collection is best paired with epoxy grout to ensure long-term chromatic stability and wear resistance, with grout colour—whether tonal or contrasting—significantly influencing the final aesthetic.
