Horseshoe Hill

Set confidently into its landscape, Horseshoe Hill unfolds through a striking balance of geometry and softness. A bold linear form on one side is gently countered by an internal curve on the other, allowing the home to fan outward toward its expansive views. This considered planning creates a series of private, sheltered zones that respond intuitively to the site.

The residence is organised into four distinct wings, each clearly zoned to enhance functionality while increasing the amount of exterior façade. This deliberate arrangement strengthens the home’s connection to the surrounding landscape, inviting light, air, and outlooks deep into the plan.

Materiality plays a key role in expressing the home’s two levels. The lower ground floor is anchored firmly to the site through the use of stone, giving the building a grounded, weighty presence. Above, light-toned timber battens wrap the upper level in a delicate veil—softening the form, filtering views, and allowing natural light and ventilation to pass through with ease.

Throughout the home, landscaped hard and soft outdoor spaces are carefully interwoven, creating a constant pull toward the outdoors. This journey culminates at the elevated terraces overlooking the infinity pool at the edge of the property, where uninterrupted vistas and a strong sense of retreat come together to define the home’s refined, luxurious character.
